The Toronto Blue Jays have had some of their key players put up some strong numbers to help fuel the offensive charge to date this season. In particular, their big offseason signing of Kazuma Okamoto has been paying off as he currently leads the Blue Jays in home runs (10) and RBIs (26). Not to mention some surprising contributions from the likes of Andrés Giménez and even rookie Brandon Valenzuela as well.
But it hasn’t just been positional players from the big league squad that has put together impressive starts to their 2026 campaigns. Various players from Toronto’s minor league system have also come out strong out of the gate.
These three prospects are catching the attention of the Blue Jays brass early in 2026
1B Peyton Williams
Selected in the seventh round back in the 2022 MLB Draft, first baseman Peyton Williams has had a strong start to his 2026 minor league campaign. Beginning with the Blue Jays’ Single-A affiliate Dunedin, Williams quickly earned a promotion to High-A Vancouver just two weeks into the season this year. Despite encountering stiffer competition, the 25-year-old first baseman has continued to hit well, compiling a solid .318 batting average, .901 OPS, along with 15 runs scored, six doubles, one home run and 15 RBIs in 27 total minor league games played to date.
More importantly, Williams has shown much growth in his game with strong plate discipline. He has drawn 24 walks already with just 17 strikeouts in 118 total plate appearances. As a left-handed bat as well, he could become an important infield piece for the Blue Jays down the road.
INF Charles McAdoo
As one of the early Spring Training standouts for the Blue Jays this year, Charles McAdoo has carried that success into the regular season with Triple-A Buffalo. McAdoo has registered a .273/.377/.469/.846 slash line, with 24 runs scored, five doubles, six home runs, 21 RBIs and five stolen bases in 36 games with the Bisons.

More significantly, the 24-year-old prospect had been getting regular reps both at third base and first base this season, preparing him for a valuable utility infielder role with the Blue Jays in the near future. If he keeps it up, it won’t be long before McAdoo could get the call up to the big leagues.
INF Sean Keys
Finally, we have perhaps the most surprising performer among Blue Jays prospects. Infielder Sean Keys, who is currently the Blue Jays No. 17 prospect, has been off to a torrid start with Double-A New Hampshire. In 29 games of action, the 22-year-old infielder has compiled a .308 batting average, 1.068 OPS, along with 31 runs scored, four doubles, 10 home runs, 25 RBIs and five stolen bases to boot.
